First Flock of FULLY Free Range Chicken

posted on

May 23, 2023

I made this video Sunday morning when Erin and I take over all of the farm operations from Morgan and Sierrah (yes - they work six days a week).  We ran a "trial" butcher date last Thursday to test out the layout and setup of our new butcher facility.  Over the weekend, we made some tweaks and additions.  With changes made, and everything in place, we ran a larger group through the facility on Monday.

We are now fully operational for on-farm chicken butchering. Sierrah and Morgan collect them at 5am.  We begin butchering by 6am.  At 9am, they are fully cleaned and in the fridge to chill for 24hrs.  The next morning, we vacuum seal and label everything for you to pickup from the fresh case at The Caboose.

Apologies in advance if this next part comes across a bit brash

Nobody around here is doing this.  First, nobody raises chickens like this.  Second, we are the only one's butchering our own chickens and selling them to you fresh every day.  My family has poured years of work and tons of cash into making this possible... I'm gonna be a bit brash about it  😎
