Our New Podcast: Test

posted on

March 12, 2024

Alrighty folks, this is a test run for our new podcast featuring Dustin and Erin as hosts, and Sierrah running the audio and video. I (Sierrah, hi!) ran through a couple tests for the equipment, trying to figure out what we needed, how the equipment works, and where the cameras should be pointed, etc.

Mom and Dad sat down and talked about meal prep for a couple minutes, which for Mom who is camera shy, is an easy and exciting subject for her. Anyone who knows Dad knows he has no trouble talking to a camera, but when Mom talks about something she's passionate about, it seems like the cameras fade away.

This video shows how those tests go, and if you get past the blown-out sound, the content of the discussion can add a new dimension to your meal prep. I for one have started prepping potatoes for the week in the same style my mom taught me, and it's cut my mealtime cooking down. At our final test, we decided that we are only going to use one camera for ease of production, so the next video upload will look different from this one (and sound different now that the audio is corrected). The final stage of our testing is to share this to our website and VOILA! If you're reading this: test passed!

Stay tuned to embark with us on a transformative journey through the healing power of food. With our new podcast, we aim to share inspiring stories of wellness and resilience as we explore the profound impact of food on our minds, bodies, and souls.

Mamma Pigs Winter Paddock

We winter our mamma pigs in an area of very deep wood chips. At the time of this video, they are transitioning into the southern woodlands where they will have their babies in the summer and fall.

Spring Chickens

Have a look inside our brooder barn where our chicks begin their life, then see the transformation of our pasture shelters. It's spring, and it's time for CHICKENS!
